Glossary

Plain definitions for the words you'll see across Adquisition — one term, one meaning.

The words below mean one thing each, everywhere in Adquisition. If a term ever seems to mean two things, the definition here is the one we intend.

A finished image or video you generate. (Inside the app's data we call these "creatives" — but to you, they're ads.)

Angle

A messaging direction for a product — one way of pitching it. Angles & Hooks generates several at once so you can test which lands.

Assets

The hub where every ad you make lives, in the sidebar. It has three tabs: Generated, Library, and Boards. See Your ads.

Board

A collection you build inside Assets to group ads — by campaign, product, or test.

Brand kit

Your logo, colors, and fonts. We pull it from your website so every ad looks like you made it. Edit it under My Brand. See Add your brand.

Credit

The unit you spend to generate an ad. The cost shows on the Generate button before you click. See Credits & billing.

Hook

The opening line or visual that stops the scroll. Paired with angles in Angles & Hooks.

Launch

Publishing an ad to a live Meta campaign. Each brand gets 10 free launches a month. See Publish to Meta.

Library

The tab inside Assets for media you've uploaded or saved to reuse in new ads.

Product

Something you sell, with a title, photos, and description. Products power every ad. See Add your products.

Variation

A close cousin of an existing ad. Turn one winner into a batch to test small changes. Made from an open ad in Assets.
